Full-Container (FCL) Shipping Between the UAE and Egypt

Joudi Cargo ships full containers (FCL) in both directions between the UAE and Egypt for factories, importers and suppliers: raw materials and machinery into Egypt, and Egyptian products into the UAE. You book a whole 20 ft or 40 ft container, so your goods travel sealed and alone, and machinery too big for a container moves on our low-bed trailers. Every shipment is priced by quote: send the goods, the container size and the cities, and we reply with the price, the route and what is included.

Who this is for

  • Factories importing raw materials, spare parts or production lines into Egypt.
  • Egyptian manufacturers and suppliers exporting to buyers in the UAE.
  • Importers and traders who fill a whole container per order.

Choose the container

  • 20 ft container: heavy, dense cargo such as machinery, metal, tiles or bagged materials.
  • 40 ft and 40 ft high-cube containers: lighter, bulky cargo such as furniture, textiles or packaged goods.
  • Not a full container yet? Tell us the volume and we advise whether a shared container or land freight is better.
  • Prefer the cargo to stay on the truck? Our land route to Safaga goes by road through Saudi Arabia and across the Red Sea by ferry (see land container shipping to Safaga).

Heavy machinery: low-bed trailers

Some cargo does not fit in a container: production lines, large machines, generators and heavy equipment. We also have low-bed trailers for heavy and oversized loads, so factories can move this equipment by road as part of the same shipment.

Documents for Egypt

Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and, for most goods, a certificate of origin. Shipments to Egypt also need an ACID number under Egypt’s Advance Cargo Information system, which the Egyptian importer obtains on the Nafeza platform before the goods are shipped.

From Egypt to the UAE the same set applies, plus whatever the UAE importer needs for clearance in the UAE.

CargoX: sending the documents to Egypt electronically

Under Egypt’s ACI system the shipping documents no longer travel only on paper. The exporter in the UAE registers on CargoX, a blockchain document platform, and sends the electronic documents, such as the signed commercial invoice, to the Egyptian importer’s ACID record on Nafeza.

The order matters: the importer gets the ACID number first and shares it with the exporter, the exporter sends the documents through CargoX, and only then is the container shipped. Missing this step can hold the container at the Egyptian port.

How to get a quote

Send us the type of goods, the approximate weight and volume, the container size if you know it, and the pickup and delivery cities. We reply with the price, the route and what is included, and we stay with you until the container is delivered.

Frequently asked questions

Do you ship full containers from Egypt to the UAE?

Yes. We ship full containers in both directions, from the UAE to Egypt and from Egypt to the UAE.

What is an ACID number?

The Advance Cargo Information Declaration number required for shipments to Egypt. The Egyptian importer registers it on the Nafeza platform before the goods are shipped.

How much does a container from the UAE to Egypt cost?

It depends on the container size, the goods and the cities. Send us the details and we reply with an exact quote.

Which container size do I need?

Heavy, dense goods usually go in a 20 ft container; light, bulky goods in a 40 ft or 40 ft high-cube. Send us the weight and volume and we will advise.

What is CargoX and do I need it to ship to Egypt?

CargoX is the blockchain platform used under Egypt’s ACI system to send the electronic shipping documents from the exporter to the Egyptian importer’s ACID record on Nafeza. The exporter registers on it and sends the documents before the container is shipped.

Can you move machinery that does not fit in a container?

Yes. We have low-bed trailers for heavy and oversized machinery and equipment.
